Job Specifications

We’re looking for a meticulous and methodical Quality Controller to join Superco, a leading Shopify Plus agency. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every Shopify store we launch meets our exacting standards across design, development, UX, and performance. This is a key delivery role that ensures quality is embedded at every stage of our process, from staging reviews to post-launch QA.

Key Responsibilities

1. QA Process Management

Define and manage QA checklists across front-end, performance, and UX
Test Shopify builds across devices and browsers for responsiveness, accuracy, and bugs
Review functionality of apps, custom features, and third-party integrations
Validate content accuracy, including product data, navigation, and copy

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with developers to identify and reproduce bugs or performance issues
Liaise with designers to ensure pixel-perfect execution of Figma designs
Coordinate with project managers to align on QA timelines and launch readiness
Support training and documentation around QA best practices

3. Site Performance & Compliance

Run speed, accessibility, and SEO checks using tools like Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and WAVE
Ensure sites meet WCAG accessibility standards and follow UX best practices
Review analytics tagging, cookie banners, and legal compliance elements where required

4. Continuous Improvement

Maintain and evolve QA processes to match new Shopify features and client needs
Share learnings across the team and help embed quality throughout our delivery approach
Flag recurring issues or process breakdowns and propose improvements

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, ideally in a digital agency or eCommerce environment
Strong understanding of Shopify, including themes, apps, and front-end functionality
High attention to detail and a structured, thorough approach to testing
Familiarity with browser testing tools, bug tracking systems (e.g. Linear, Jira), and QA documentation
Ability to manage QA cycles across multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Bonus Points
Experience working with Shopify Plus brands
Familiarity with Liquid, HTML/CSS, or basic JavaScript debugging
Exposure to Agile delivery workflows
Experience testing international/multi-market stores and third-party integrations
