Your Role
As our Head of Data, you’ll lead the data team and play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our AI capabilities. You’ll sit at the intersection of data science, data engineering, product, and field operations, ensuring we turn raw data into real-world impact.
You will report directly to the CTO and have a seat at the table for major product and tech decisions.
Leadership & Vision
Define and drive Leakmited’s overall data strategy.
Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing data team.
Ensure quality, scalability, and business alignment across all data projects.
You’ll shape the future of our AI-powered water platform, from predictive maintenance, monitoring to strategic fields operations.
Modeling & Machine Learning
Design and deploy models for leak prediction, anomaly detection, and usage pattern analysis.
Choose the right approach: from simple heuristics to advanced ML techniques.
Work hands-on with geospatial and time-series data (pipes, sensors, sectors…).
Data Engineering & Architecture
Build and scale robust data pipelines.
Define best practices for MLOps and model deployment.
Collaborate with backend teams for seamless integration into production systems.
Product Culture & Startup Pace
Work closely with our Product Manager to turn insights into features.
Prioritize impact, ship fast, iterate, and stay close to user needs.
Thrive in a fast-paced startup where speed, autonomy, and ownership matter.
What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience in data science and data engineering.
Proven team leadership or mentoring experience.
Strong technical stack:
Python (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.), SQL.
Solid data engineering foundations (pipelines, transformation, automation).
Production deployment of models and systems.
You think product: you care about impact, not just code.
You’re autonomous, fast-moving, and structured, but pragmatic.
You love rhythm, iteration, and solving real problems.
