Job Description:
On behalf of our client Affinity is seeking a Databricks Developer who will support the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using Databricks. The Databricks Developer will play a critical role in ensuring successful data integration, stakeholder collaboration, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for a developer with a strong background in data engineering, Databricks, and cloud computing, looking to contribute to a high-impact data analytics initiative.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions using Databricks, ensuring best practices in data engineering and analytics.
* Azure Integration: Integrate Databricks with Azure services such as Azure Storage and Azure Active Directory to leverage cloud capabilities.
* Data Engineering Best Practices: Apply knowledge of best practices for designing and implementing scalable and cost-effective data solutions on Databricks, focusing on data quality, integrity, and security.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with existing data engineers to gather requirements, document processes, and ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering using Databricks.
* Technical Skills:
* Deep understanding and experience with Databricks, including its architecture and analytics capabilities.
* Familiarity with integrating Databricks with Azure services.
* Knowledge of best practices for designing scalable data solutions.
* Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
* Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
* Soft Skills: * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements: * Certification in Databricks or Azure is advantageous.
