Job title: Associate Lead Business Analyst
Role Summary: Support the National Technology team by driving Workday HCM, Finance, and Payroll improvements. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (HR, Finance, and National Technology) and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements, map current and future processes, and ensure successful system configuration, integration, and user adoption.
Expactations: Deliver hands‑on Workday project work, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and provide detailed gap analyses and solution recommendations. Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, Agile delivery experience, and the ability to translate complex business needs into functional and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main interface between HR, Finance, and National Technology stakeholders and technical teams for Workday modules.
- Conduct business process mapping for HR and Finance functions, defining current and future state flows.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and technical designs for Workday configuration and integration.
- Perform detailed gap analyses and recommend system or process improvements during Workday implementations and enhancements.
- Collaborate with integration teams to define and validate interfaces, ensuring data accuracy and workflow continuity.
- Lead workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement validation sessions to align scope with business goals.
- Design and execute test plans, scripts, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop change‑management materials, including training resources, and support end‑user adoption.
- Manage documentation, including functional specs, process flows, and presentation materials.
- Apply Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies to project execution.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Business Analysis experience in enterprise environments, specifically with Workday HCM, Finance, and/or Payroll modules.
- Proven expertise in business process mapping, optimization, and documentation.
- In‑depth knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, and integration points.
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and consensus‑building skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in creating functional specs, user stories, process flows, and presentations.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with data governance, workflow automation, and reporting/analytics in cloud environments.
- Optional: Experience with Workday payroll integrations (ADP, SAP, Oracle) and tools such as Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and calculated fields.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
- Valid Workday certification (e.g., Workday HCM, Finance, or Payroll) or recognized Business Analysis certification (CBAP, PMI‑PBA).
