**Job title:** Monitoring Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the evolution and enhancement of the Zabbix monitoring architecture, coach internal teams, and manage the RRF project’s supervision requirements across high‑availability environments.
**Expectations:**
- Expert level knowledge and experience with Zabbix administration and architecture design.
- Proven ability to integrate monitoring tools with CMDB, ticketing, alerting systems, and dashboards.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible).
- Capacity to provide N2/N3 support, resolve complex incidents quickly, and drive continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Zabbix architecture, including servers, proxies, databases, and high‑availability configurations.
- Develop and refine monitoring templates and models tailored to network devices, security, and application infrastructure.
- Integrate Zabbix with external systems (CMDB, ticketing, alerting, dashboards).
- Optimize platform performance and scalability; conduct capacity planning and tuning.
- Deliver N2/N3 support, troubleshoot and resolve advanced incidents, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance workflows using Ansible, scripts, and the Zabbix API.
- Produce clear, accurate technical documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and evaluate emerging monitoring technologies and Zabbix enhancements.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced Zabbix administration and architectural design.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management (Ansible).
- Experience with Linux system administration; knowledge of VMware/virtualization is a plus.
- Ability to integrate with CMDB, ticketing, alerting, and dashboard solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and proactive incident‑resolution abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Zabbix Certified Engineer (or equivalent Zabbix certification).
- Additional certifications in Linux (LPIC, Red Hat), VMware (VCP), or similar are advantageous.
