**Job Title:**
Network Specialist (DevOps)
**Role Summary:**
Design, deploy, and maintain high‑performance IP and Access network infrastructures for enterprise and FTTH environments. Lead automation initiatives, troubleshoot complex faults, and manage change control, ensuring reliable service and continuous improvement.
**Expectations:**
- Serve as primary escalation point for network faults and incidents.
- Lead design, documentation, and implementation of cost‑effective network solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline provisioning, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain compliance with safety and corporate policies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, document (Work Orders, Design Specs, BOMs), and implement network architectures for enterprise and FTTH platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IP/Access network faults, perform fault analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop automation (Python, Java, Ruby) and scripting (Ansible, Jenkins) for equipment deployment, software upgrades, provisioning, and diagnostics.
- Manage change control processes, including impact analysis, procedural reviews, implementation, and post‑verification.
- Produce and update IP/Access network design and support documentation.
- Integrate new technology platforms and services into existing networks.
- Analyze telemetry data, log parsing, and visualizations (Splunk, Grafana) to identify optimization opportunities.
- Provide on‑call support, ensuring rapid response and resolution of incidents.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and corporate policies.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in IP-based or Access Network Service Provider environments (engineering or operations).
- 3+ years of network programmability/automation experience using Java, Python, Ruby.
- Proficiency with SDLC tools (Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Ansible).
- Strong command of XML, JSON, YAML, and APIs such as NETCONF, RESTCONF, YANG.
- Expertise in TCP/IP, OSPF, IS‑IS, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, EVPN, FTTH Subscriber Management, IP Multicasting.
- Hands‑on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, routing, subnetting.
- Familiarity with Nokia 7750 SR, XGS‑PON, EPON/10G‑EPON; NRS‑II+/SRA certification a plus.
- Knowledge of DDoS mitigation platforms and streaming telemetry.
- Lean Six Sigma methodology experience available.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaborative skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Degree or Diploma in Networking, Computer Science, or related technology field.
- Certifications: Nokia NRS‑II+/SRA, DDoS mitigation, Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
