Job Description
**Job Title** VP of Cybersecurity **Role Summary** Lead the organization’s global cybersecurity strategy, operations, governance, and awareness. Build and manage a lean, high-impact security team while ensuring a resilient security posture across all applications, infrastructure, and platforms. Act as a trusted security advisor to executive leadership and collaborate across IT and business units to foster a security‑centric culture. **Expectations** - Deliver a comprehensive cybersecurity roadmap and enable continuous improvement. - Operate with limited resources, maintaining clear metrics and ROI for security investments. - Serve as the primary interface for security matters within senior leadership and stakeholder groups. **Key Responsibilities** - Own and evolve global cybersecurity strategy, standards, and policy frameworks. - Direct security operations, overseeing external SOC, SIEM strategy, tool selection, configuration, and monitoring. - Assess and improve security posture, audit risk, and incident detection/response capabilities. - Define security roadmaps, budgets, and headcount requirements. - Lead security awareness, phishing simulations, and training initiatives. - Provide regular security posture updates to executive leadership and internal stakeholders. - Hire, develop, and mentor a small team of security analysts. - Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to embed security into service delivery. **Required Skills** - 8+ years progressive cybersecurity experience (analyst → manager → director). - Proven ownership or major influence over security strategy and operations. - Deep knowledge of SIEM, monitoring tools, incident response, and security tool evaluation. - Experience managing security in mid‑to‑large organizations (1,000–4,000+ employees) with matrixed structures. - Strong communication, customer‑service orientation, and stakeholder engagement. - Ability to drive results with lean resources, manage budgets, and demonstrate a growth mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates. - Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) strongly desired.
