Job Description
**Job Title** Production Manager (Contract) **Role Summary** Lead daily production operations for a flavor ingredient manufacturing facility. Manage supervisors, optimize yield and capacity, maintain compliance with food safety standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets. **Expectations** - Deliver production output according to planned schedules. - Ensure compliance with GMP, FSSC 22000, FDA, and food safety regulations. - Foster an EHS-focused culture and support incident investigations and corrective actions. - Analyze production metrics to identify improvement opportunities. - Collaborate with Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Planning, and Logistics to achieve delivery commitments. **Key Responsibilities** - Supervise daily production activities (blending, packing, pre‑weigh) and shift leads. - Plan and schedule production to maximize yield, capacity, and asset performance. - Monitor and report on output, yield, OEE, and lost‑time incidents. - Conduct root‑cause analyses for production issues and implement corrective measures. - Partner with cross‑functional teams to support cost‑saving and process‑improvement projects. - Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, fostering a high‑performance culture. - Drive safety initiatives, incident investigations, and MOC implementation. **Required Skills** - 10+ years in food manufacturing or related industry. - 6+ years of people‑management experience. - Strong knowledge of GMP, FSSC 22000, FDA, and food safety compliance. - Proven track record of increasing productivity and implementing process improvements. - Proficiency in data analysis, OEE calculation, and production metrics. - Six Sigma or equivalent process‑improvement certification (preferred). - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred). - Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred).
