Job Description
**Job Title:** ServiceNow Developer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and administration of a mission‑critical ServiceNow environment for the Huntsville Operations Support Center, supporting NASA Payload Missions, ISS operations, and Artemis projects. Drive ITSM, ITOM, and SPM module implementations, ensuring secure, high‑performance, and compliant solutions. **Expectations:** Deliver robust ServiceNow solutions on schedule, maintain instance health, integrate with enterprise systems, and mentor junior team members. Collaborate cross‑functionally, communicate progress clearly, and uphold regulatory and security standards in a high‑stakes aerospace context. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations. - Manage the full implementation lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture design, deployment, testing, and ongoing administration. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand‑ups, retrospectives). - Write clean, maintainable code using best practices (JavaScript, GlideScript). - Administer instance: user management, configuration tuning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. - Lead integration efforts across tools and systems, implementing automation to improve service delivery. - Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge transfer and compliance. - Mentor and coach teammates, fostering continuous improvement. - Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing; support production deployments. **Required Skills:** - 3+ years of ServiceNow development and administration experience. - Expertise in ITSM, ITOM, and SPM modules. - Proficient in JavaScript, GlideScript, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI actions/policies, and integrations. - Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and team collaboration. - Excellent communication, requirement elicitation, and stakeholder engagement. - Ability to work independently on complex tasks while contributing to team goals. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and ServiceNow Certified Administrator preferred; ITSM Implementation Specialist also desired. - Additional certifications in ITOM, SPM, or related modules is a plus. - U.S. citizenship or eligibility for required clearances is preferred.
