**Job Title:** Fidessa Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and deployment of integration between an in‑house Order Management System (OMS) and Fidessa EMS. Drive the transition to a multi‑EMS, headless architecture to enhance scalability and flexibility of equities trade execution.
**Expactations:**
- 12‑month contract, full‑time office‑based role.
- Deliver end‑to‑end OMS‑EMS integration inclusive of order entry, execution feedback, and trade allocation workflows.
- Establish FIX connectivity, session management, drop‑copy feeds, and API integration aligned to internal OMS message schemas.
- Optimize trade lifecycle from order creation to booking and reporting, ensuring compliance and control integrity.
- Design and prototype next‑generation multi‑EMS/hub solutions for venue flexibility and fault tolerance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own the OMS–Fidessa EMS integration roadmap and execution plan.
- Configure and manage Fidessa EMS routing rules, Wheel, FDM, and related settings.
- Define FIX protocol details (4.2/4.4/5.0), session setup, and message flow.
- Build API, feed, and service‑level integrations with internal OMS and front‑office systems.
- Collaborate with Front‑Office, Product, Risk, and Compliance to embed trading controls.
- Analyze, document, and refine end‑to‑end trade flows for efficiency and resilience.
- Lead proof‑of‑concepts for multi‑EMS or headless EMS architectures using FIX hubs or smart order routers.
- Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and migration roadmaps.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years in equities trading technology at large buy‑side/sell‑side platforms.
- Proven experience with Fidessa EMS and custom or vendor OMS (Bloomberg AIM, FlexTrade, Charles River, or in‑house).
- Deep expertise in FIX (4.2, 4.4, 5.0) session management, execution reports, and drop‑copy feeds.
- Hands‑on configuration of Fidessa EMS routing, Wheel, FDM, and related modules.
- Strong knowledge of API‑based, message‑driven architectures (Kafka, JMS, MQ).
- Designing high‑throughput, low‑latency EMS integration frameworks.
- Experience building or migrating to multi‑EMS/headless EMS solutions leveraging FIX hubs, smart order routers, or vendor‑neutral APIs.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications (e.g., FIX Certification, Certified Financial Services Technology Professional) preferred but not mandatory.
