Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven BI SQL Developer for a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA. This role requires working onsite 3 days a week and is open to W2 candidates only. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong SQL development skills
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and performance-tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL or T-SQL scripts.
Perform end-to-end data validation and ensure delivery of high-quality, accurate datasets.
Evaluate business requirements, conduct Proof of Concept (POC) testing, and identify anomalies in source systems.
Use scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Unix shell, or Python) to automate batch processes.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Requirements:
Experience with database development using SQL, PL/SQL (Packages, Stored Procedures, Triggers).
Strong experience in dimensional modeling and schema design (Star, Snowflake, SCD).
Proven expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
Ability to handle ad-hoc requests and work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
