Mission Context

As a Senior Java / IBM Cloud Expert with Tech Lead responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role within the CoE ADM, driving excellence in application development and maintenance. Your mission will be to establish, document, and enforce development guidelines and best practices across tribes, ensuring alignment with architectural, infrastructure, and security standards.

This role requires a mix of hands-on development, coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement, making you a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. You will also contribute to IT4IT projects directly managed within the CoE.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Design and deliver detailed technical solutions.

Define, document, and promote best practices and development guidelines.

Oversee adoption and compliance of guidelines across tribes.

Coaching & Support

Mentor developers and support their technical growth.

Conduct quality reviews of external suppliers' design and code.

Provide expert guidance on Java, IBM Cloud, and DevOps practices.

Delivery Management

Ensure project deliveries meet quality, performance, and security standards.

Track dependencies and manage risks to achieve timely delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with IT stakeholders (Architecture, Infrastructure, Risk, Security).

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Hands-On Contribution

Actively participate in coding, design, and unit testing activities.

Ensure guidelines are practical and consistently applied.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

Mandatory:

IBM Cloud (including dMZR)

Java, J2EE

Preferred:

Spring Cloud

Opentext Extstream

Business Expertise

Mandatory:

Experience in Personal Finance or Financial Services sector

Preferred:

Broader financial domain experience

General Requirements

Minimum 10 Years Of Relevant Experience In Software Engineering.

Strong knowledge of UML, architecture, infrastructure, and SDLC.

Security-first mindset and proven DevOps expertise.

Previous experience with IBM Cloud in a BNP entity (mandatory).

Soft Skills

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Team player with a rigorous, methodical approach.

High accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Language Requirements

English: Mandatory

Dutch or French: At least one local language required
