Contract Opportunity: 2nd Line IT Support - Service Desk

Location: South West London - 5 days per week onsite

Start date: ASAP in October

Contract length: 6 months initially

Day rate: PS180 - PS200 per day (inside IR35)

Join a dynamic IT Service Operations team as a Level 2 - IT Service Desk Support Analyst and play a critical role in ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient technology operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 2nd-line support for incidents and requests via phone, email, and in-person channels.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and remote support solutions.
Manage asset processes and perform hardware setups at Head Office locations.
Escalate complex issues with detailed documentation and ensure end-user satisfaction.
Maintain and administer IT systems, including Windows OS, AD, and cloud platforms.
Assist in major incident management and end-user communications.
Develop and contribute to knowledge articles (KCS methodology) and provide training for Level 1 support staff.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 3+ years in a Level 2 IT Service Desk Support role.
Proficiency in ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
Strong experience with remote desktop support tools.
Solid technical knowledge of Windows OS: configuration, admin, troubleshooting.
Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs.
Proven ability to diagnose and fix hardware faults and replace components.
System administration with Active Directory and cloud platforms.
Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable:

Familiarity with ITIL framework and incident/change management practices.
