3rd Line Support Engineer - Contract Opportunity

Location: Sheffield

Rate: PS300 P/D OUTSIDE OF IR35

Contract: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join a leading Recycling Business on a contract basis.

This role will suit someone with strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and end-user environments, who enjoys taking ownership of complex issues and project-based work.

Role Overview

As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will provide advanced support and technical expertise across a range of systems. You'll be responsible for resolving escalated incidents, delivering infrastructure improvements, and contributing to ongoing projects, including Active Directory domain migrations.

Key Responsibilities

Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and service requests.
Manage and maintain core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server, and Networking.
Support and troubleshoot user profile issues (local and roaming).
Deliver input on projects, migrations, and system upgrades.
Ensure documentation and knowledge sharing for Tier 1/2 support teams.
Proactively identify and resolve recurring technical issues.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong background in 3rd Line / Infrastructure Engineering.
Proven experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain migrations.
Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Office 365, and VMware/Hyper-V.
Solid troubleshooting experience with networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
