Java Developer: Automated Risk Trading

Location: London, UK - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week)

Experience: 2+ years commercial experience

A leading global investment bank is seeking a talented Java Developer to join their Automated Risk Trading team. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge algorithmic trading platforms that drive advanced Equity Trading strategies across global markets.

You'll collaborate with traders, quants, and global IT teams to build high-performance, scalable systems designed for low-latency, high-volume data processing. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and enhance algorithmic trading engines using core Java in a high-performance, low-latency environment.
Collaborate with trading desks, quants, and global teams to improve systems and generate advanced trading signals.
Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment.
Develop resilient, high-volume, message-driven systems leveraging the latest technologies and hardware.

Core Skills & Experience

Strong Core Java development skills in a UNIX/Linux environment.
Proven experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
Background in high-volume, high-availability systems.
Strong academic foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Information

Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the London office)
