We're looking for passionate Data Scientists to join a leading AI & Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence, where teams of data scientists, data engineers, and analytics experts design, develop, and deploy impactful AI solutions across the organization.

You'll take ownership of end-to-end AI use cases -- from scoping and modeling to integration and deployment -- ensuring that your solutions deliver measurable business value while adhering to best practices in scalability, governance, and quality.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and deploy AI applications using state-of-the-art machine learning and GenAI technologies.
Translate business challenges into practical, data-driven AI solutions.
Develop and pilot proofs of concept, then scale them into production systems.
Ensure end-to-end deployment of AI solutions, integrating them into production environments.
Collaborate with business and domain experts for data understanding, feature design, and validation.
Present results clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute to the team's continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and process optimization.

What are we looking for?

Master's or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
2+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or applied data science.
Advanced proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries.
Deep understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
Proven experience deploying scalable AI systems to production.
Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and Azure Data & AI services.
Solid knowledge of version control (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
Fluent in English, plus French and/or Dutch

Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI).
Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or TFX.
Strong background in data engineering and cloud-native AI pipelines.

Location: Brussels (hybrid)

Duration: 6 months + extension
