Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

We are currently looking for several professionals to join our R&D team for a large-scale process and analytical development project based in Brussels.
This project involves protein-based biochemistry and chromatography, supporting innovation in life sciences. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team contributing to method development, process optimization, and data analysis for high-impact biotechnological projects.
Your missions
Depending on your profile, your missions may include:
Project Management (PM R&D):
Lead R&D activities, coordinate timelines (Gantt), and manage project deliverables.
Oversee protocol reviews, communication, task delegation, and reporting.
Supervise technical leads in process development and analytical teams.
Process Development Engineers & Technicians:
Conduct experimental work in UFDF, chromatography, filtration, and fractionation (50-60% lab activity).
Analyze and interpret experimental data, and make decisions accordingly.
Assist in analytical testing and ensure data traceability.
Analytical Scientists & Technicians:
Develop and validate analytical methods (HPLC, reverse phase, impurity quantification, ELISA, clotting methods).
Execute internal analytical tests and support method optimization.
Report analytical results and ensure compliance with R&D procedures.
Your profile
Background in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field.
Experience in R&D process development and/or analytical method development (chromatography, UFDF, protein analytics).
Medior to senior profiles (5+ years) for lead and PM positions; junior to medior for associate and technician roles.
Strong soft skills: proactive, collaborative, optimistic, and open-minded.
Fluent in English (Dutch or French is a plus).
