Your Team Responsibilities
Are you a Salesforce expert with a passion for solving complex business problems? Do you have extensive experience in Sales and Service cloud? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! POSITION OVERVIEW: The Sales Technology Team at MSCI plays a critical role enabling internal teams to manage and execute business processes across the Opportunity to Order value chain (Opportunity pipeline management and Contract Lifecycle Management) as well as Order to Cash processes (integrations with ERP). Salesforce @ MSCI is the strategic platform used by Sales, Client Service, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and other business units to achieve their business objectives. We are seeking a Salesforce Professional, who will interact with our business stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements and design scalable solutions to meet their business objectives. In addition to analysis and design, it is expected that he/she has the skillset to plan, document, configure, program, test, communicate, and execute Salesforce-related implementations. Success in this position requires one to be a self-starter, a good collaborator and communicator (both in written and verbal skills).
Your Key Responsibilities
Proactively work with business partners to understand and analyze requirements, ensuring user stories are well documented
Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end users to gather and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications
Ability to research and analyze the impact of changes on the Salesforce implementation Effectively communicate status, progress, risks, and challenges to the global Salesforce team and business stakeholders
Develop, test, and deploy custom solutions using Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and other Salesforce technologies
Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST, SOAP, and other APIs (Application Programming Interfaces)
Design and implement data models, flows, triggers, and processes to support business needs. Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and performance. Provide technical guidance and best practices to other Salesforce developers and administrators.
Provide estimates and work breakdown structures for assigned tasks
Continuous learning of new technical and product capabilities from Salesforce, inclusive of keeping apprised of updates in each release as well as industry best practices with web development
Support end users on implementations (user inquiries that require troubleshooting of Salesforce related capabilities including, but not limited to function, usage, "how to", data quality, data structure, reporting, business process and logic.)
Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel
In-depth understanding of Sales, Service, and Marketing clouds, with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform architecture and capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse global cross-functional team across different levels and functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and quality
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies
High sense of responsibility and ownership
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple in-progress projects while keeping all projects on track
7+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer, preferably with certifications in Administrator, Platform Developer I and II
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Expert in configuring and customizing Salesforce to meet business requirements using capabilities such as Lightning Design System, Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Page Layouts, Triggers, Validation Rules, Workflows , REST / SOAP APIs, and other Salesforce features
Proficient in Salesforce development tools, including Salesforce CLI (DX IDE), migration tools, SOSL, SOQL, web services, app builder, and Omnistudio
Experience with Agile development and project issue tracking tools such as JIRA is a plus
