Position: Salesforce Developer (Permanent Role)
Location: Mississauga, ON (Onsite)
About the Role:
The HSS Digital Transformation Team is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and innovative Salesforce Developer to join our growing Information Technology team. In this role, you will design and develop robust Salesforce solutions using Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools. You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance CRM solutions that align with business objectives.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Mississauga, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce
Customize standard Salesforce objects and create custom objects, fields, workflows, and process automations
Develop and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
Support deployment activities using Change Sets, SFDX, or CI/CD tools
Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and coding standards
Document technical solutions, user stories, and design specifications
Perform daily administration and support of the Salesforce platform, including user setup and data model updates
Provide Level 3 support for ongoing operational projects
Recommend and implement Salesforce-based solutions to meet evolving business needs
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 8 years as a Salesforce Developer
Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, LWC, and JavaScript
Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security/sharing models, and governor limits
Experience with Salesforce declarative tools such as Process Builder, Flow, and Validation Rules
Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP API integrations
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps tools (e.g., Gearset, Copado)
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
