Overview
The Technology Architect Fellow will assist IQT staff in working with innovative startup companies to accelerate the adoption of capabilities with IQT's mission partners. They will work in the AI Enablement practice, helping to cover technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Enterprise Software, novel Data, and the underlying software infrastructure stack. They will also assist in developing thought leadership that will help inform both IQT and government partners on topics related to AI and its disruptive path on their national security mission. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in the startup ecosystem, venture capital, and the national security space.
Applications will start being reviewed in NovemberResponsibilities

Assess frontier capabilities and companies in AI for impact and relevance to the national security mission.
Develop strategies for evaluating AI systems such as models and AI agents.
Support the development of technical assessment reports and AI system requirements specifications.
Support technical due diligence of innovative AI startups for use in the national security mission.
Support discussions and presentations with mission partners on AI-related technical issues.
Participate in technical oversight of projects with startups, support discussions around use cases, deployment considerations, and adoption, and craft these projects into deals.
Anticipated Projects:
Lead or contribute to an assessment of frontier AI capabilities for the national security mission.
Review technical problem statements and use cases from government partners and identify AI capabilities to meet these mission needs.
Participate in discussions with AI-focused startup companies, supporting the technical vetting and due diligence process for potential investments.
Qualifications

Due to contractual reasons, U.S. Citizenship is required
Experience with software, such as through the software development lifecycle, operations, product, or through enterprise rollouts.
Experience in evaluating AI systems such as models and agentic workflows is a plus.
Candidate for a graduate degree, in computer science, machine learning, or related engineering or science discipline.
Ability to perform research in both technical disciplines and startup companies.
Ability to communicate complex AI subjects to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong writing skills, with experience in AI technical writing and proposal writing.
