Job Title: Security Engineer IV
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months contract with possible extensions
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps/Security Engineer to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our platform. The ideal candidate has strong DevSecOps experience, AWS cloud expertise, and a passion for optimizing processes and safeguarding systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor system performance, availability, and responsiveness.
Implement and manage AWS cloud infrastructure and security best practices.
Integrate security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing into the development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain infrastructure and security documentation.
Support incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Stay current on emerging security threats and technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
7+ years in DevOps, cloud, or security engineering, ideally in fast-paced environments.
Strong AWS experience (ECS, S3, Lambda, Route53, RDS, DynamoDB) and multi-account management.
Proficiency with Terraform, GitHub Actions CI, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
Hands-on experience with security controls (SCA/SAST/DAST, secrets management, compliance monitoring).
Experience integrating AWS services with SIEM platforms and designing real-time monitoring and alerting solutions.
Solid understanding of network, application, and data security.
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and independent work skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Relevant certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, CISSP) are a plus.
