Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) - Control Tower & Terraform Expert Needed!
This is a contract position with a hybrid schedule.

Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the implementation of AWS Control Tower and Landing Zones, automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform and GitHub Actions, and support cloud-native transformation initiatives. This role will be instrumental in standing up a secure, scalable AWS environment, implementing Desktop-as-a-Service solutions, and enabling DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience across AWS services, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud automation in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS best practices
Implement and manage AWS multi-account environments via Control Tower and Landing Zones
Lead the transition from traditional server-based architectures to serverless solutions using AWS Lambda
Architect and deploy Desktop-as-a-Service solutions such as Amazon WorkSpaces or AVD
Automate infrastructure and application delivery using GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
Migrate workloads into new AWS accounts with minimal downtime
Administer and support Linux and Windows systems in cloud environments
Configure and manage core AWS services including EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, ELB, WAF, Lambda, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN
Support database technologies including MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Collaborate with development teams using Python, Angular, and React to align infrastructure with application needs
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency
Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, procedures, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of Cloud Engineering experience in complex, enterprise environments
Hands-on experience implementing AWS Control Tower and Landing Zones
Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Experience deploying Desktop-as-a-Service solutions (Amazon WorkSpaces or AVD)
Proficiency in DevOps and implementing DevSecOps practices
In-depth knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, ELB, WAF, Lambda, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN)
Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
Advanced proficiency with Linux and Windows administration in cloud environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional level preferred)
Bachelor's Degree highly preferred (required for FTE conversion at Jazwares)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cloud migrations or building greenfield cloud environments
Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience automating systems administration and deployment
Scripting and automation skills
Familiarity with Angular, Python, and React
