Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Entertainment Marketing Manager, the Entertainment Marketing Specialist will support all GCE's main-stage venues coast-to-coast with Great Canadian Entertainment in the day-to-day execution of entertainment marketing efforts in the areas of social media, website updates, artist asset distribution and reward-member communication. This role will support the strategic partnership between the company and Live Nation Canada and other external booking partners to drive ticket sales and elevate the overall brand presence for the diverse portfolio of live events.

Key Accountabilities

Show Announcement & Event Support: Program social media content (announcements, presales, on-sales and show maintenance posts) across all venues and corporate accounts. Build and update event listings on venue websites. Distribute approved artist assets to venues. Coordinate with Live Nation and ticketing partners for accurate show information and timely publishing.
Social Media Management: Develop and maintain entertainment content calendar. Monitor social channels and respond to patron comments/questions where appropriate. Identify and reshare user-generated content when appropriate to boost engagement. Plan and execute social media giveaways (e.g., ticket contests). Flag and escalate any reputation management issues or guest concerns in real time.
Email Marketing / Newsletters: Collaborate with venue marketing teams to gather content for Rewards Member newsletters. Draft newsletter briefs and coordinate with marketing teams to ensure timely distribution. Craft and deploy pre-show emails to ticketholders.
Content Creation and Copywriting: Draft engaging content for social media, website listings, site marketing opportunities and email newsletters. Write and contribute creative briefs for designers or content teams.
Analytics & Optimization: Monitor KPIs and engagement trends. Compile performance summaries or post-event wrap-ups. Recommend optimization to improve content performance and audience engagement.

Educational And Functional Requirements

Post-secondary education in marketing or a suitable combination of education and experience required. Digital Marketing university degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of marketing experience required; preferably with 3 years of experience with WordPress, social media, and email marketing
Experience in marketing, digital content, or event promotion.
Experience with Ticketing partners (Live Nation, Ticketmaster) is an asset
Experience in MS Office; knowledge of creative suite is an asset
Self-starter with high attention to detail and organizational skills
Collaborative and adaptable
Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Advanced customer service skills
