QTEC Aerospace is seeking a DEVOPS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, and development
Determines computer user needs
Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on the program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
Prepares operating instructions
Ensures software standards are met
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 2 - 10 years of related experience
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Experience developing software using Java and C++
Experience developing software on Linux
Experience managing source code using Git, GitHub or GitLab
Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle and practical experience in an Agile/DevOps environment
General understanding of DevSecOps practices
Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed.
Self-motivated and customer-oriented.
Desired Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Jenkins
Programming and scripting experience (C++, Perl, Bash, JavaScript, Python)
Experience with unit testing (JUnit) and automated testing
Experience with Eclipse, Ansible
Experience with Modeling and Simulation / Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience with Air & Missile Defense Command and Control programs such as IBCS, PATRIOT, SENTINEL, C2BMC or THAAD or any sensor/weapon system
Security+ certification
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
