Job Title: Citrix & Application Delivery Analyst

Job Type: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid - Primarily remote with on-site support at downtown head office as required)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Rate: $57/hr T4 OR $65/hr Inc.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Citrix & Application Delivery Analyst to provide technical expertise and operational support for Citrix environments, application packaging, and desktop image management. This role will support both Calgary-based staff and remote field users, ensuring seamless application delivery and a high-quality end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Support planned projects, including Business application updates, scripted package implementation in Citrix, SCCM, and Intune, Citrix application enhancements and monitoring via Splunk, and collecting and implementing Citrix enhancement requests for field staff.
Contribute to projects including Intune upgrade and support for Windows 11 deployments, assisting with the design and implementation of Citrix in AWS, and partnering with external vendors on Citrix modernization and environment upgrades.
Manage and maintain Citrix environments, including VDI builds, releases, and security patching.
Test and promote desktop images and Citrix updates across non-prod to prod environments.
Perform packaging, configuration, and deployment of applications via SCCM and Intune.
Support line of business COTS applications, including troubleshooting and vendor configuration changes.
Monitor system performance, triage issues, and resolve incidents with Citrix and Microsoft.
Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operational stability.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a Citrix Administrator/Analyst with a strong background in application delivery.
7 years of hands-on expertise with SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, and Citrix environments (on-prem and cloud).
Experience in Windows 10/11 and Server patch management (testing, implementation, reporting).
Experience in monthly patch execution via SCCM and patch compliance tracking.
Experience in packaging, deploying, and supporting COTS applications.
Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills across Windows desktop/server environments.
Familiarity with Splunk for monitoring and reporting.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment with periodic on-site requirements.
