Workday Integration Architect - Active SC Cleared
Location: Hybrid (20% in London or Glasgow) | Engagement: Contract - Inside IR35 | Duration: Initial 6 months | Clearance: SC Clearance Essential
Our client requires a high-calibre Senior Workday Integrations Architect to establish and deliver the integrations sub-workstream from the ground up. This role is critical for technical readiness, involving the design of integration patterns that will connect Workday with crucial internal and external systems across HR, Finance, and Payroll.
The Role: End-to-End Integration Strategy & Delivery
You will report directly to the Senior Technical Delivery Manager, acting as the primary authority for all Workday integration design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Strategy: Define, develop, and own the Workday integration strategy and roadmap for ecosystem readiness.
Technical Design: Design complex integration patterns utilising Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, and APIs.
Middleware Expertise: Leverage experience with Middleware platforms (eg, MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services) to connect Workday to third-party and Legacy systems.
Delivery Management: Oversee the build, testing, and secure deployment of multiple integrations in parallel, collaborating closely with IT and external vendors.
Compliance: Produce technical artefacts (interface inventory, data flow diagrams) and ensure compliance with security, GDPR, and audit requirements across all interfaces.
Collaboration: Partner with the Data Lead to ensure secure and accurate data flow, validation, and reconciliation.
Essential Skills & Experience
SC Clearance is MANDATORY for this role.
7-10 years' experience in integration leadership roles on large ERP/HCM programmes (ideally Workday).
Expert-level knowledge of Workday integration technologies (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, APIs).
Proven success in designing and delivering integration strategies in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Demonstrated ability to mobilise and deliver multiple integrations in parallel.
Familiarity with data transformation, validation, and data reconciliation processes.
Strong stakeholder management with IT, vendors, and business owners.
