Your Mission
Boundless is seeking a People Program & Operations Lead that can balance the efficiency of a well-operated people operations function with the employee experience of deeply thoughtful people programs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical HR knowledge, but be able to think outside the box to design, implement, and execute programs that connect with Boundless’s dynamic, people-first culture, leveraging AI-driven solutions to enhance program effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Core People Operations & Employee Support (Initial Focus - 70-80%):
Onboarding & Offboarding: Execute seamless onboarding for new hires, including system setup, new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and ensuring a positive first impression. Manage all offboarding procedures with empathy and compliance.
HRIS Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our to be implemented HRIS, ensuring data integrity and generating reports as needed.
Benefits Administration: Assist with the administration of all employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, etc.), acting as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and escalating complex issues.
Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and general People Ops inquiries, providing timely and helpful information.
Compliance: Support the team in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with policy updates and documentation.
Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including data entry and reconciliation.
Ad-hoc Projects: Support various People Ops initiatives and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
People Programs Design & Leadership (Growing Focus - 20-30% initially, increasing over time):
Program Ownership: Take ownership of and lead the development and execution of specific People programs. This could include, but is not limited to:
Performance Management: Refining and rolling out performance review cycles, feedback processes, and goal-setting frameworks.
Promotion Cycles & Compensation: Manage the promotion and compensation cycles with a focus on clear communication, expectation setting, and budget management.
Employee Relations: Develop and manage employee relations program that appropriately balances risk mitigation, fairness, and employee experience.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline People Ops processes, strategically incorporating AI to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data analysis, and create more efficient and intelligent employee experiences.
Project Management: Manage People Ops projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are engaged.
Key Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or People Operations roles, with a strong emphasis on hands-on execution.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with HRIS systems and other People tools.
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (especially Sheets).
Experience with, or strong aptitude for learning, project management tools.
Knowledge:
Solid understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
Demonstrated understanding of the full employee lifecycle.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and switch contexts efficiently.
