Freelance Data Engineer (Azure Databricks & Python) – Antwerp – 6-Month Contract (Hybrid)

We’re seeking a skilled Freelance Data Engineer to join our team in Antwerp for a 6-month hybrid engagement (2–3 days onsite). You’ll work on building and optimizing modern data platforms using Azure Databricks and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Azure.

Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks and PySpark.

Integrate diverse data sources into a unified data lake/warehouse.

Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to deliver clean, reliable datasets.

Monitor and improve data quality, performance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Python, and SQL.

Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or related tools.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Available for hybrid work in Antwerp (2–3 days onsite).

Duration: 6 months, with potential extension.
