INTERIM GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Basildon, Essex (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 from home)

£450 – £550 per day (Inside IR35)

We Do Group are partnering with a global pharmaceutical business to recruit an Interim Group Financial Accountant to support during a critical reporting and audit period.

This is a hands-on technical role within a high-growth, international environment. You’ll work closely with the Group Financial Controller to deliver accurate group reporting, consolidations and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions. Ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with Big 4 or Top 10 training, and strong experience in multi-entity consolidations under IFRS and UK GAAP.

THE ROLE

Deliver monthly group consolidation and financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies
Support preparation of UK statutory accounts and the Group Annual Report
Oversee audit deliverables and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth completion
Review reporting from overseas subsidiaries and ensure consistency of accounting policies
Strengthen internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations
Support the Group Finance team through the year-end and audit cycle
Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and consolidation systems
Provide financial insight and analysis to support commercial decision-making

YOUR PROFILE

ACA/ACCA qualified with post-qualified experience in group reporting or audit
Big 4 or Top 10 trained, ideally with exposure to multinational, multi-currency groups
Deep technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and consolidation principles
Proven ability to manage audit and statutory reporting deadlines
Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
Strong communicator, confident liaising across finance and non-finance teams
Hands-on, delivery-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced global environment
