About the Role

Management Accountant - Interim Contract with potential of permanent. £40,000–£50,000 DOE. Nottingham based Hybrid.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts for key projects, with insightful analysis and performance commentary.
Deliver accurate, timely financial data to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.
Partner with Project Managers to provide financial guidance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Lead on cash flow forecasting, credit control routines, and balance sheet reconciliations (WIP, accruals, deferred income).
Drive process improvements and enhance the quality of financial reporting.
Support audit prep, group reporting, and ad hoc projects for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).

Required Skills

Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with large datasets.
Experience in management accounting, project accounting, financial analysis, and working capital optimisation.
A continuous improvement mindset and high attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Bonus points for experience in project accounting or long-term contracts.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary: £40,000–£50,000 - Depending on experience
33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
