Pride Health is hiring an IT - Security Analyst to support our client’s medical facility based in Minnesota.

This is a 6-month contract with competitive pay and benefits, and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: IT - Security Analyst

Location: Minneapolis, MN (55415)

Assignment Length: 6 Months Contract (Possibility of an extension).

Pay Rate Range: $35 – $40/hour on W2.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday (8*5)

Job Summary

Job Duties

Assists the Information Privacy Director in developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective information privacy program.
Conducts timely investigations and breach analysis into reported privacy inquiries and complaints, including performing audits of the electronic health record, and provides guidance to Business Partners and management about the assessment of privacy policy violations.
Coordinates with relevant department leaders to apply corrective measures appropriately and consistently for privacy violations.
Completes breach notification activities promptly.
Provides consultation and responds to questions from team members regarding information privacy compliance.
Maintains accurate records by thoroughly documenting investigations and outcomes promptly and within the designated incident management system.
Participates in the creation, coordination, and update of the privacy training and awareness program, and conducts privacy presentations as needed.
Writes and updates organizational policies and procedures for the information privacy program.
Assists IT in the development of privacy audit tools and investigation reports.
Participates in regular and occasional privacy risk assessments and supports the development and monitoring of work plans to address identified risks.
Researches emerging privacy regulations and analyzes facts against the applicable privacy laws and policies. Minnesota Government Data Practices Act
Assists in the administration of the data practices compliance program.
Supports timely response to government data practices requests as assigned, including searching for, retrieving, reviewing, and redacting data, and responding to requests as a designee as needed.
Guides leadership and Business Partners about timely response to requests for government data.
Writes and updates organizational policies and procedures for the data practices compliance program. 2 General Duties
Creates and enhances new and existing metrics and reporting tools pertinent to the department’s operations.
Effects compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, and promotes a culture of compliance.
Stays current with proposed and final laws and regulations affecting the privacy program.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2+ years of experience working with Information Privacy, Data Integrity, or Health Information Management.
Possesses strong knowledge of applicable information privacy law and regulations, including but not limited to: the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and its implementing regulations (HIPAA), the Minnesota Health Records Act, the federal regulations for substance treatment records (45 CFR Part 2), and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act.
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness in working with complex and sensitive situations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization with a collaborative but firm approach.
Strong ability to create and implement training programs.
Preferred Qualifications –
Prior experience working in a health care privacy role/department. License/ Certifications.
Certification in Information Privacy, Compliance, or Health Information Management (e.g., HCCA CHC or CHPC, CIPP, AHIMA, or equivalent).
