About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join the dynamic tech team at one of the West Midlands' fastest-growing startups. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services that underpin our business operations and development initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to innovative cloud solutions, and support the company's growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive approach, and a passion for leveraging cloud technologies to drive business success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. A solid understanding of networking, security, and virtualization within cloud environments is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable. Proficiency in scripting languages including Python and Bash is required. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are also key attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
Manage and optimize cloud environments in line with company security policies and industry best practices.
Automate cloud operations and infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation of cloud services.
Collaborate closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and the deployment of cloud-native applications.
Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes to facilitate ongoing management and compliance.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry standards to recommend improvements and innovations.
