About The Role
The Senior Content Manager role is central to shaping the Tech content acquisition strategy, cultivating high-profile partnerships, and overseeing the development of a robust Tech curriculum. This role is two pronged with content acquisitions and program management of our live program. Success in this position requires curriculum development, exceptional communication, program management, strategic thinking, and decision-making to meet market needs while driving learner engagement and ensuring content excellence in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate is a thought leader with a proven acquisitions track record for creating multimodal content programs with the world’s leading experts. In this role you will be responsible for fostering cross-functional collaboration, building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering innovative, high-impact learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Content Acquisitions Strategy and Execution:
Acquire high-profile, in-the-job Tech practitioners as subject matter instructors for learning course creation.
Develop and refine a Tech curriculum based on customer upskilling needs.
Identify market trends to develop and evolve strategic content plans focused on Tech topics (e.g., programing languages, cybersecurity, devops, etc.).
Collaborate with subject matter experts to expand offerings, integrate emerging trends, and validate strategies through customer feedback.
Align content strategies with specific vertical roles to ensure relevance and impact for a global professional audience.
Program Management:
Develop and lead the creation of diverse content formats ensuring alignment with market needs and competitive insights.
Partner with high-profile instructors and subject matter experts to design content roadmaps tailored for business professionals.
Manage an expanding portfolio of published content, leveraging data insights to refresh and optimize the content strategy.
Relationship Management::
Recruit and collaborate with high-profile and emerging instructors to curate compelling content aligned with vertical business skills.
Coach instructors for long-term success and ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards.
Navigate instructor contract negotiations, aligning terms with business goals in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Collaborative Leadership:
Build partnerships across functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, production) and provide strategic guidance to achieve cross-team alignment.
Represent content priorities internally and externally, articulating goals and educating peers on the evolving business-focused portfolio.
Knowledge Management and Process Improvement:
Establish a robust knowledge management strategy to streamline content development processes.
Use evaluation frameworks to iterate on and refine strategies for multi-format offerings.
Core Skills
Content Acquisitions and Development: Proven expertise in identifying and creating impactful tech content in a learning environment.
Multi-Format Content Vision: Ability to design, develop, and manage diverse content formats such as live events, video content, and more.
Deal Negotiation: Strong background in negotiating instructor contracts and partnership terms with minimal risk exposure.
Program Management: Advanced ability to manage large-scale initiatives efficiently, meeting deadlines and objectives.
Strategic Collaboration: Demonstrated skill in building partnerships with instructors, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
Market Research & Data Analysis: Advanced proficiency in interpreting data to make strategic, audience-informed decisions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of experience managing programs across the product lifecycle, acquiring tech content, negotiating legal agreements, and fostering partnerships.
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in relevant areas.
Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in tech content strategies and content management.
