Our client, a European transmission system operator, along with 50Hertz in Germany, ensures the reliability and sustainability of electricity.
Working alongside other team members, you will contribute to building a sustainable, reliable, and environmentally friendly energy infrastructure.
The IT Infrastructure department is looking for a System Engineer Medior (Domain Expert) to join the application team. You will be responsible for deploying in-house applications in acceptance and production environments, as well as managing system architecture, capacity planning, and performance optimization of applications and middleware (Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, RabbitMQ…).
Expertise in Windows deployment strategies is required. Knowledge of Linux and hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of system architectures and support, who can quickly learn the specifics of the client’s infrastructure.
Service Description:
Deploy and manage the infrastructure for internal applications (Windows IIS, SQL) in acceptance and production environments.
Participate in the design and architecture of new applications, analyze requirements, and oversee their deployment.
Provide advanced support and perform root cause analysis for complex system issues.
Configure F5 load balancing and optimize overall system performance.
Support core applications (RabbitMQ, Redis Cache …).
Ensure level 2/3 support and maintain system architecture documentation.
Job requirements
Requirements:
Fluent in English; French or Dutch a plus
Experience with Windows Server (2012-2022); Linux (RedHat) a plus
Skills in IIS, application deployment, system integration, PowerShell, scripting (Bash/Python)
Knowledge of MS-SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, NEO4J, Redis Cache a plus
Understanding of networks and security
Team-oriented yet autonomous, quick learner, able to share knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Additional information :
Location: Brussels (Schaerbeek), occasional travel to Berlin
24/7 on-call duty (1 week out of 6)
Driver’s license and vehicle required
Start: ASAP, Duration: 1 year (extendable)
