We're hiring a UX Researcher to lead our client’s Equipment Management Workstream focused on customer-facing B2B software tools (desktop & mobile) that help fleet managers monitor and manage heavy machinery data.

Job Title: UX Researcher

Location: Chicago, IL/ Peoria, IL

Contract: 12 Months

Hourly Rate: $80-86 (W2)

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct mixed-methods UX research (usability tests, interviews, surveys, competitive analysis).
Translate research findings into actionable UI design recommendations.
Create UX artifacts (journey maps, storyboards, user flows).
Document UX strategy and prototype requirements for testing and iteration.
Present clear, actionable findings to stakeholders and influence product decisions.
Quickly learn complex subject matter and recruit hard-to-reach B2B audiences when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 5+ years in UX Research and UI design (corporate/B2B preferred).
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Skills:Strong knowledge of multiple research methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
Ability to pick up new tools quickly (Dovetail, Usertesting.com a plus).
Proficiency in UI layout, spec, and prototyping tools.
Exceptional data storytelling capability.
Portfolio Required

Nice to Have:

Project management experience.
Experience in adaptive thinking and empathy-driven design.
