Job Specifications

We are supporting a major multi-year technology transformation programme within a leading global financial markets organisation. As part of this initiative, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to play a critical role in modernising and migrating a suite of real-time, low-latency applications onto next-generation platforms.

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing end-to-end architectures for the migration of high-throughput, real-time applications from legacy environments to modern cloud and distributed platforms. You will define architectural standards, create migration blueprints, guide engineering teams, and ensure solutions meet strict performance, scalability, and resilience requirements.

What You’ll Be Working On

Designing solution architectures for large-scale real-time application migration
Creating technical designs, data flow diagrams, integration patterns, and migration routes
Working closely with platform, engineering, infrastructure, and network teams
Defining non-functional requirements: latency, throughput, availability, resilience
Supporting architectural governance, design authority reviews, and technical decision-making
Ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy
Providing expert guidance during migration, cutover, and stabilisation phases
Collaborating with global stakeholders and senior technical leaders

What We’re Looking For

Experienced Solution / Technical Architect with real-time or low-latency systems exposure
Strong background in distributed systems, messaging/streaming (Kafka, Solace, Tibco, 29West)
Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), microservices, and Kubernetes
Proven track record delivering application migrations or modernisation programmes
Excellent architecture documentation, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills
Financial services or complex enterprise experience is a strong advantage
