Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Database Services

Location: Plano, TX (100% onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (Contract, possible extension)

We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Database Services to join a growing technology operations team in Plano, TX. This is a 12-month onsite contract role with a strong possibility of extension.

What You’ll Do

Ensure the availability, performance, and stability of enterprise database platforms.
Drive database automation, monitoring, and incident prevention through proactive and self-healing solutions.
Work hands-on with Oracle 11g/12c/19c and Exadata environments.
Manage database operations including RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and performance tuning.
Collaborate across teams to implement SRE principles such as incident response, reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs), and observability improvements.
Use Python or shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) to automate manual tasks and enhance database efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Database Reliability Engineer, Database Engineer, or DBA.
Strong background with Oracle and Exadata administration.
Solid knowledge of RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and database performance optimisation.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
Practical experience with incident management and prevention.
Familiarity with SQL Server, Postgres, RDS, or DynamoDB is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred.
