We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support critical cloud modernization and contact center transformation initiatives. Summary
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of AWS architecture, automation, and cloud engineering — with strong, hands-on Amazon Connect experience required.

Your Role
Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud solutions using AWS (EC2, Route53, S3, Lambda, etc.)
Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible
Ensure infrastructure meets performance, reliability, and security standards
Monitor system operations and mission-critical application performance
Conduct performance, availability, and security testing
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to enhance cloud processes
Build CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
Maintain architecture documentation and troubleshoot complex issues
Contribute to cloud governance standards and compliance
Stay current with emerging AWS technologies and best practices
What We’re Looking For Required Experience
10+ years of overall IT experience
5+ years as an AWS Cloud Engineer, including hands-on experience with:
Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, Git
EC2, IAM, Networking, ECS, EMR, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, SSM, Secrets Manager
Object-oriented design patterns
4+ years of Amazon Connect (MANDATORY)
Contact flows, IVR/IVA, routing profiles
Lambda integrations
Telephony configuration & call flows
2+ years in cloud security
Strong Linux/Unix administration (on-prem + cloud)
Excellent architecture, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Preferred
AWS Certifications (any of the following):
SysOps Administrator
DevOps Engineer
Solutions Architect
Work Expectations
Hybrid role — must be onsite in Gold River, CA at least 2 days per week
In-person interview required for candidates within a 200-mile radius of the Sacramento region
Highly qualified candidates outside this radius may be considered for a first-round video interview, but in-person interviews are strongly preferred
