This is an opportunity for an accomplished financial professional to oversee and manage the financial operations of a diverse group of companies, including membership communities, media businesses, and real estate investment. The role is based in London and requires a proactive individual who can ensure robust financial controls, deliver accurate reporting, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations, and will play a key role in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day financial operations across multiple business units
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations
Produce timely and accurate financial reports and statements for senior management
Manage bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expenses
Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and growth strategies
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required
Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and processes

Skills And Requirements

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
Proven experience in financial management, ideally within property, media, or professional services sectors
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
Proficiency in financial software, particularly Xero
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior stakeholders
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Based in London or able to work on-site as required
Available for a full-time contract position
