Location: Fully remote
Day Rate: £425p/d - Inside IR35
Duration: 3 months (scope for extension)
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Service Designer to help shape public services that are user-focused, inclusive, and effective. Working at SFIA Level 4/5, you'll be a part of design activities within multidisciplinary teams, using evidence and empathy to improve service experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and improve end-to-end service journeys using user research and design tools.
Create service blueprints, journey maps, and prototypes.
Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders across departments.
Ensure services meet accessibility and GDS standards.
Work independently within a defined framework, contributing to agile delivery.
Skills and Experience
Experience in service design, ideally in the public sector.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency with tools like jira, gitlab, or similar.
Understanding of user-centred design and agile methodologies.
Desirable
Familiarity with GDS standards and service assessments.
Experience designing for diverse and vulnerable user groups.
