We are currently one of Odoo’s preferred partners in Canada.
About the Role : Syncoria is looking for a Financial Systems Analyst with practical experience in both accounting and ERP configuration. This role bridges the gap between finance and technology—helping our
clients implement, optimize, and support ERP systems (primarily Odoo) that run their financial

Ensure correct mapping between ERP modules and external systems (Shopify, POS, payment platforms).
2. ERP Implementation & Process Design
Participate in discovery workshops to gather financial process requirements.
Configure and test Odoo financial modules (Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing).
Troubleshoot financial issues such as stock valuation mismatches, interim account balances, and tax mapping discrepancies.
Work with functional consultants and developers to translate financial requirements into system solutions.
3. Financial Data Migration & Validation
Assist with importing historical financial data, journals, trial balances, AR/AP aging, and opening entries.
Validate migrated data through reconciliations, stock valuation checks, and financial statement reviews.
Support year-end or mid-year transitions from legacy systems (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage, etc.).
4. Reporting, Analysis & Support
Build custom financial reports and dashboards (P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, analytical accounting).
Diagnose posting errors and guide clients on best-practice workflows.
Provide training sessions to client finance teams on ERP usage and accounting processes.
5. Canadian Compliance & Best Practices
Ensure setups meet Canadian GAAP and CRA regulatory standards.
Configure federal and provincial tax rules (GST/HST/PST/RST).
Support audit readiness by ensuring clean data, proper documentation, and clear audit trails.
General Responsibilities:
Attain and maintain Odoo certification status
Periodically, when needed, be available outside of business hours (especially during go-live events, physical inventory events, month-end closings, etc.)
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
2–5 years of accounting experience (AR/AP, GL, reconciliations, financial statements).
