Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and lead the implementation of ServiceNow solutions across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure best practices, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality ServiceNow implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and integrations.
Act as the technical lead for ServiceNow development teams, providing guidance and code reviews.
Customize and configure ServiceNow modules including:
ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
ITOM
ITAM
HRSD
CSM (as applicable)
Develop business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, Script Includes, and workflows/Flow Designer.
Design and implement ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and APIs.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure platform performance, scalability, and security best practices.
Manage upgrades, patching, and version compatibility.
Troubleshoot complex issues and provide advanced technical support.
Maintain documentation including technical design, development standards, and deployment procedures.
Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
Support UAT, production deployments, and post-go-live support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development.
Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow data model and CMDB.
Experience with ServiceNow integrations and automation.
Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and legacy workflows.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow security model, ACLs, and roles.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Certifications (Required / Preferred):

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required
ServiceNow Implementation Specialist – Preferred
ServiceNow Architect certification – Nice to have

Nice to Have:

Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
Knowledge of Performance Analytics and Reporting.
Experience in multi-instance, large enterprise environments.
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD with ServiceNow.
