The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving PageSuite’s growth by identifying, engaging, and converting new clients across our core target markets. You’ll be responsible for generating new business revenue, taking a consultative approach to sales, and establishing lasting relationships that contribute to long-term commercial success.

You will own the full new-business sales cycle, from initial prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and contract close.

As part of this role you will be required to attend on-site meetings and events outside of your usual working hours. 

Key Responsibilities

New Business Generation

Proactively source and close new business opportunities across our target sectors (e.g., publishing, media, B2B content providers).
Research and prospect potential leads using tools like LinkedIn, data toolsets, and industry news.
Help develop outbound strategies, including cold outreach, email campaigns, and attending events to build a strong sales pipeline.
Drive the adoption and use of AI to accelerate and enhance prospecting efforts.

Industry Knowledge & Competitor Landscape

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving publisher needs.
Provide insights back to the team to inform product development and strategic direction.

CRM & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of all prospecting, outreach, and deal progress using Salesforce
Ensure all stages of the sales funnel are tracked and updated, making sure Opportunities are accurate at all times.
Own pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting against revenue targets.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates to senior leadership.

About You: Skills & Experience



We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who can strike the perfect balance between exceptional client service and commercial acumen.



Essential:



5+ years of experience in a new business sales role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
A demonstrable track record of driving new business revenue.
Proven commercial success with accountability for revenue targets
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills, comfortable leading commercial discussions.
A strategic and proactive mindset, always looking for opportunities to add value for potential leads
Based in the South East of England and able to comfortably commute to our Ashford, Kent office two days per week.



Highly Desirable:



Direct experience working within or for the publishing industry (e.g., newspapers, magazines, digital media) is a significant advantage.
Experience with digital publishing platforms, Content Management Systems (CMS), or related AdTech/MarTech.
Proficiency with CRM software (we use Salesforce).
