Junior Java Engineer – Financial Technology (Belgium | Hybrid)

Are you a Junior Java Engineer with a passion for financial markets and backend development?

Do you want to build mission-critical systems used in a high-performance banking environment?

Then this is your opportunity to kick-start your career in financial technology.

We are looking for motivated Junior Java Engineers to join Agile engineering teams that develop scalable, secure and high-impact backend platforms within a regulated financial environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Junior Java Engineer, you will:

Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring & Spring Boot
Work on real-time, high-performance financial platforms
Collaborate with senior engineers, solution architects and product owners
Learn to work in Agile/Scrum environments
Contribute to API design, microservices and integrations
Help ensure system stability, security and performance
Grow towards a medior full-stack or backend engineering role

What We’re Looking For

Master in Computer Science / Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong interest in financial markets or banking technology
Knowledge of:
Java
Spring / Spring Boot
Object-Oriented Programming
First experience with:
APIs & backend development
Git, Maven, CI/CD (nice to have)
You are:
Eager to learn
Analytical
Proactive
A strong team player
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

Both Young Graduates and Junior profiles with experience are welcome.
