Where you’ll be working

Narrabri Community Health is tucked inside the Narrabri Hospital precinct, making it a central hub for care across every stage of life. Our team looks after everything from mental health and chronic disease management to women’s health, Aboriginal health, child and family health and aged care. We’re big on making healthcare feel personal, accessible and genuinely supportive, no matter where people are on their journey.

About The Community

Narrabri is an absolute gem for anyone who loves a mix of country comfort and outdoor adventure. You’ve got Mount Kaputar and the Namoi Valley right on your doorstep, plus incredible volcanic formations, camping, canoeing, cycling and some seriously gorgeous sunsets. Fresh local produce, friendly faces and easy flights to Sydney and Brisbane make it the kind of place where life feels balanced in the best way.

About The Role

As a Child and Family Health Nurse, you’ll be a trusted guide for families with little ones aged zero to five. You’ll work above the level of a registered nurse as part of a primary health model, helping parents build confidence through evidence based assessments, practical resources and calm, responsive care. You’ll spot any developmental concerns early, create tailored care plans and walk alongside families as they navigate these huge early years. Every day brings something new, meaningful and full of heart.

Why you’ll love it

You’ll join a dynamic, passionate team who care deeply about supporting families and cheering on the wins, big and small. You’ll work in a service that genuinely values growth, with opportunities to build your skills through the professional development framework and a workplace culture that has your back. Most of all, you’ll get to make a real, lasting difference in the lives of children and parents during some of their most important moments.

At Hunter New England Health, enjoy a career where you're challenged by interesting work and surrounded by spectacular locations. Join the team enriching health in millions of ways every day:
