Our client, a major bank in Belgium, is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Software Engineer to strengthen their IT transformation landscape. You will join a dynamic ServiceNow team responsible for modernising and automating a wide range of IT processes—improving efficiency, reliability, and user experience across the organisation.

Role Overview

As a key contributor, you will help shape and optimise core IT processes such as:

Asset & Configuration Management
Service Agreements & Release Management
Incident & Problem Management
Continuity & Operations Management
…with expansion into Vulnerability Management and Pentesting in the near future

You will design solutions that make daily operations easier for IT teams—ensuring tools are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

You will:

Analyse, design, and test process automations on the ServiceNow platform (development is handled by the client’s Global Competence Center).
Design and test integrations between ServiceNow (cloud) and other applications (on-prem and cloud) in collaboration with the API Gateway team.
Translate business requirements into clear and valuable technical designs.
Manage and resolve complex incidents, ensuring platform stability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring solutions into production.
Focus purely on analysis, design, coordination, and problem-solving — no scripting or programming required.

Who You Are

You bring:

Minimum 5 years of solid ServiceNow experience (mandatory).
Strong analytical skills and a solid technical foundation.
Fluency in Dutch and English.
Curiosity and interest in IT infrastructure domains.
A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with an eye for what is “fit for purpose.”
A good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals (or another programming language) to grasp technical concepts comfortably.
