AI Consultant - 12-month contract (Part-time 1/5) - Brussels

Our important client is currently looking for a AI Consultant for a 12-month contract based in Brussels. Part-time role with 1 day per week. Day rate is negotiable.
Remote work needs to be discussed with the manager.

Job Title: AI Consultant
Location: Brussels (remote work possible)

Role Objective
To conduct a structured AI blueprint analysis of an SAP for Insurance landscape supporting Single Risk products. The consultant will review Business Process Documents (BPDs) and Solution Process Documents (SPDs) to identify potential AI use cases, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and deliver a prioritized list of AI opportunities for further exploration.

Key Activities
Review BPDs and SPDs to identify potential AI use cases.
Facilitate internal clarification sessions and stakeholder workshops to assess and prioritize opportunities.
Produce a consolidated and prioritized list of AI use cases for further investigation.

Project Phases

Phase 1 – AI Team Analysis
Input: Blueprint documents (BPDs, SPDs)
Output: Initial list of potential AI use cases and related questions.

Phase 2 – Internal Clarification
Input: Initial list of AI use cases and questions
Output: Refined list of AI use cases and preliminary priorities following discussions with solution teams.

Phase 3 – Review Sessions with BA/IT Analysts
Input: Refined list of AI use cases
Activities: Three workshops with BA/IT analysts
Output: Reviewed and optimized list of AI use cases with updated priorities.

Phase 4 – Review Sessions with Business Stakeholders
Input: Reviewed list of AI use cases
Activities: Three workshops with business stakeholders
Output: Final prioritized list of AI use cases, including 2 × 3 candidates selected for deeper investigation.

Responsibilities
Analyze blueprint documentation to identify AI opportunities.
Coordinate internal clarification sessions with solution teams.
Organize and facilitate workshops with analysts and business stakeholders.
Consolidate results into a structured and prioritized list of AI use cases.
Document findings and present outcomes to the Architecture Board or project steering committee.

Candidate Profile
Experienced AI consultant or business analyst with strong expertise in blueprint analysis.
Proven ability to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
Knowledge of insurance and financial services processes is an advantage.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and documentation skills.
