Job Role : Capital Markets Data Governance Contractor

Duration : 12 Months of contact with high chance of extension

Location : Toronto, ON

We are seeking a contractor to support strategic data governance initiatives within the Capital Markets Data Governance team, focused on regulatory programs and trade surveillance.

Key Responsibilities

Support data governance across Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Strategy.
Monitor and assess pre-trade and post-trade surveillance data (orders, quotes, allocations).
Identify and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs) used for surveillance.
Perform data risk, control, and lineage analysis across capital markets systems.
Conduct data control assessments including lineage, traceability, and issue management.
Present key findings and insights to senior management.

Required Experience

Experience in capital markets data governance or data management.
Strong understanding of data quality, data risk, and regulatory reporting.
Knowledge of capital markets products (fixed income, derivatives) and trade lifecycle.
Ability to communicate complex data issues clearly to senior stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Prior regulatory initiative experience.
Exposure to AI-based data governance tools.
