We’re partnering with a progressive public sector organisation in Greater Manchester that is investing heavily in the strategic adoption of Artificial Intelligence as part of its long-term digital modernisation agenda.

This role sits at the strategic heart of the organisation’s AI journey. Rather than focusing purely on technical delivery, you’ll shape how AI is identified, governed, prioritised, and embedded across services — ensuring it delivers real, ethical, and measurable value for citizens, staff, and the organisation.

You’ll act as a bridge between senior leadership, service owners, data and digital teams — translating ambition into a clear AI roadmap and ensuring initiatives are aligned with organisational priorities, regulatory requirements, and public sector values.

As their AI Adoption & Strategy Manager, you will:

Define and evolve the organisation’s AI strategy and adoption roadmap, focused on measurable service and operational impact
Identify and prioritise high-value AI use cases across services, working with senior leaders and service owners
Establish and maintain governance and ethical frameworks to ensure responsible, compliant use of AI
Act as a strategic bridge between leadership, digital, data, and delivery teams to turn ambition into action
Provide portfolio-level oversight of AI initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and value realisation
Champion cultural change, building confidence and capability in AI across the organisation

This is an initial 2-year Fixed Term Contract, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.
