Head of Customer Engineering

UK Series A Cybersecurity Vendor - Sec Ops

Salary: Upto 100k ballpark - happy to discuss
Location: Portsmouth at least once a month
Reports to: CEO

You'll be establishing a new department to bridge the gap between sales, customer success & engineering to be able to deliver maximum value & impact as a hands on leader for all things customer-facing.

What you'll be responsible for

Handle all customer-facing aspects as a technical SME for the platform
Provide technical depth in POCs, support onboarding journeys etc - you'll be the go to for customers for their platform capabilities & limitations
Building workflows/automations, new integrations etc in python
Work closely with the engineering team & influence platform evolution from your insights
Offer mentorship, guidance & upskill 4 people in pre sales & customer success in your team

What you need to be considered

Python capability - comfortable writing Python, you'll likely have built automation workflows, you can read and develop backend code
Integrations experience - Ideally SIEM integrations, but any IT integrations. You'll be someone who's experienced building new integrations - e.g. with ticketing systems etc
You know the Sec Ops world - MDR, XDR, SOAR, SIEM... anything in this area
You're still hands on technically & happy to remain hands on
Strong customer facing experience: solutions engineering, technical customer success, professional services or similar
Desire or experience to be a technical leader - you'll be a mentor/guide to your less experienced team members and THE go to for the product for customers.

Preferred

SIEM: Experience with different SIEM technologies, you can build connectors, you understand common log sources and how they connect to different tools
Worked for a vendor directly
